Description
Lochlea have used 100% fresh 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts direct from Jerez, Spain. Autumn on the farm is when the fields are given time to recover after harvest and the crisp gold and purple leaves cover the ground. Therefore, Lochlea developed a dark, rich whisky to warm us up as temperatures start to fall. It first opens up with ripe red fruits and freshly baked warm banana loaf. Then some dried fruit and leathery notes appear, alongside malt biscuits. The finish is medium-length, with hints of aniseed and moreish floral rose petals.
