“Were currently loving Miguel Torres Cordillera de los Andes from Peumo in Chiles Valle del Cachapoal. Made from the Carmnre varietal, this wine offers the expected vegetal notes of green pepper, along with aromas of eucalyptus, clove, and leather.
The full, rich mouthfeel is loaded with mushroomy earthiness and hints of toasted bread. After a few minutes in the glass to breathe, bold black fruits join the party, helping the wine pair nicely with smoked gouda mac & cheese.
Most Carmnre wines are meant to be enjoyed young, but this particular example should hold up nicely for another year or two so buy an extra bottle today, and thank yourself tomorrow!”
