Nixta Licor de Elote

Description

Nixta Licor de Elote is a Mexican corn liqueur made from a base of ancestral cacahuazintle (kaka-wha-SINT-lay) corn, grown in the high valleys and foothills of the Nevado de Toluca volcano. Nixta is produced at the Destilera y Bodega Abasolo, with honor for the Mexican culture of corn and the ancestralnixtamalization – a 4,000 year oldMesoamerican cooking technique that uncovers the deepest flavors and aromas of maize.

This liqueur has an intense straw color with golden highlights. Notes of sweet corn perfectly balanced with toasted notes of roasted corn, vanilla, and caramel.
