Port Askaig’s 17-year-old is part of the limited 2023 annual release. Aged in traditional American oak. With approximately 9000 bottles available annually, this Islay whiskey is highly sought after due to its outstanding taste, maturity, and limited production.
Tasting notes – The nose offers a charcuterie board with melon, ham, and grapes, intertwined with bonfire smoke and citrus zest. On the palate, dense smoke and minerality unite raspberry leaf and chocolate, culminating in red fruits and a hint of medicinal smoke with a herbaceous finish.
