| What Emerald Giantis a botanical rye, meaning it leans more into fresh herbs and bright citrus than the heavy, leathery char found in some Kentucky ryes. Because it ages in thecool, foggy Sonoma coast climate, it stays vibrant and crisp. Its very fragrant and verdant. Youll smellorange zest, fresh mint, andeucalyptus, mixed with a warm hint of butterscotch and honey. It has a lovely pop to it. Youll tastespicy cinnamon, black pepper, and clove, but its balanced by a sweet, creamy layer oftoasted vanilla and salted caramel. Its medium-bodied and quite smooth for a 90-proof rye. It doesn’t have a harsh burn, which makes it very approachable. It ends clean with a lingering note ofdark chocolate and herbal tea, leaving your palate feeling refreshed rather than weighed down by oak. |
