Description
Rowans Creek 100.1 proof
Deep amber in the glass, it delivers a spicy nose with a minty, herbal character, orange peel, cherries, and fresh cut oak. On the palate it is velvety, with classic bourbon caramel sweetness, cherry flavors, hints of baking spice and maple, and touches of pepper and oak. A dry, spicy, woody finish with a suggestion of citrus lingers in between sips.
Hand drawn by Even Kulsveen himself, the Rowans Creek label honors the natural creek that runs through the family distillery. There is a smooth approachability to this whiskey.Rowans Creek is a small batch, high-rye bourbon from Willett Distillery, named for the creek that runs through the distillery. (The creek itself was named for John Rowan, a 19th century Kentucky statesman whose family home in Bardstown was the inspiration for the song, My Old Kentucky Home.) Rowans Creek is aged for 12 years and bottled at 100.1 proof (50.05% ABV).
