Bright and aromatic, it opens with resinous pine, peppery spice and liquorice, layered with fennel seed, cereal notes and a gently savoury edge. The flavour develops into zesty lemons, green apple and kiwi, with a lively, fermenting cider note adding intrigue. The finish is elegant and satisfying, combining citrus liqueur sweetness with soft pastry warmth.

Distillery Information
Founded in 1812 in an area notorious for the production of illicit whisky in Cawdor (nearby Cawdor Castle made famous by one William Shakespeare as the place where Macbeth allegedly killed King Duncan) Inverness-shire and one of only three distilleries to have Royal status, this one from Kling William IV in 1834 for being The Kings Own Whisky and connected to one Andrew Usher who is credited for creating the first commercial blend of Scotch under the old vatted Glenlivet label and an agent for the distillery during the 1860s.
