Description
An elegant single grain whisky from the Cameronbridge Distillery, this release from Signatorys 100 Proof Grain Collection highlights the impact of sherry cask finishing on a well-aged grain whisky.
Distilled in 2009, maturation took place in a single hogshead before being transferred to first-fill and second-fill oloroso sherry butts. It was bottled at a bold 100 Proof (57.1% ABV) without chill filtration or added colour.
Nose: Caramel, dried fruits, and hints of mixed nuts.
Palate: Espressocoffee, sherry spices, and Glossette raisins with underlying vanilla sweetness.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering sherry spices and a pleasant nuttiness.
