Description
The fourth release in the Diamond Peak series is finished in barrels from Colorados top brewers, previously used to age bold beers like Coffee Stouts, Barley Wines, and Belgian Quads.
After aging 4 to 6 years in new American oak, the whiskey is finished for an additional 1.5 to 2 years in these seasoned beer casks. Bottled at 90 proof, Local Brewers Cask delivers balanced sweetness with roasted flavors, lingering dark fruit, spice, and rich malt depth.
Nose:Raisin, fig, chocolate-covered candied oranges, espresso, old cedar.
Palate:Chocolate malt, berry mix, semi-sweet chocolate chips, orange slices, hazelnut.
Finish:Dry with medium length, thick texture that coats the mouth, lingering.
