Sensory Description:

This vintage opens with generous aromas of raspberry preserves, blackberry confit, and a whisper of garrigue. On the palate, it glides with a natural softness and vibrancy, balancing southern Rhne richness with unexpected lift. The Grenache adds roundness and sweetness of fruit, while the Syrah contributes structure and spice, resulting in a wine that is both charming and quietly complex.

Winemaker’s Background:

The Chardon family has cultivated their estate in Bellegarde, Gard since 1982, and has been working organically since 1987. Under the guidance of Jrme Chardon, the vineyard embraced biodynamics in 2002 and was Demeter-certified shortly after. The vineyards are rooted in soils rich with rolled river stones (gress), once deposited by the Rhne, which offer excellent drainage and natural cooling. The Mediterranean climate, reinforced by the cleansing Mistral wind, supports healthy vine growth and reduces disease pressure. With minimal intervention in the cellar and meticulous vineyard care, Jrme produces wines that are pure, vibrant expressions of terroir.
