Description
Certified Organic and practicing biodynamic. 70% Furmint, 30% Hrslevel, taken from two different parcels of 60 years of age planted on a mix of red clay and rhyolite tuff. After harvesting, the clusters are destemmed and pressed together; all of the juice is fermented and aged in used Hungarian oak barrels for 20 months. It is, as its name implies, a sweet version of Szls wines, as was the case in much of the history of winemaking in Tokaj, but this version is deeply balanced with acidity and a clear sense of the health of the vineyards and ferments beneath it. Notes of dried oranges, peach fruit leather, vanilla, and spice. Regal and special wine.
