Description

A very pale yellow-green in colour. Fresh aromas of pear, green apples, and citrus fruit. Intensely fresh and dry on the palate with almost eye-watering acidity and saline minerality. The acidity makes this a perfect accompaniment to salty seafood dishes. Light, crisp wine bottled with residual carbon dioxide to give the wines their signature natural spritz.Ignacio Ameztoi constitutes the seventh generation to carry on the tradition of making Txakolina. The organic Bodegas Ameztoi is situated in the fishing village of Getaria, deep in the heart of the Basque country of northern Spain, overlooking the Bay of Biscay. The Ameztoi family grows the indigenous Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondurrabi Beltza grapes.
