Description
This Limited Release is aged in Apera Sherry casks, then finished in a rare 70-year-old Tawny Port cask. It is blended with a hint of coastal peated whisky, creating a nutty and earthy flavor profile.
Nose – Nectar honey, dried fruits like chocolate coated sultana, apricot and oak at the bottom of the glass.
Palate – The Apera provides the platform of juicy canned fruit, the Tawny brings rich spices & thick sweetness, the smidge of coastal peat ties the two elegantly with an earthy, nutty overlay. A balance of bittersweet.
Finish – Sultana and melted butter from the Tawny lingers on and the nuttiness from the smidge of peat creates a lovely, complex finish.
