This exclusive Aejo barrel selection is the result of a special collaboration between Rob Gerard and Lauren Castano. Together, we traveled to the heart of tequila countryTequila, Jalisco, the birthplace of Partida Tequila.

Our day at the distillery was spent immersing ourselves in the meticulous process behind Partidas production before tasting and selecting from three exceptional Aejo barrels. Each barrel offered its own unique profile, but one stood out: Barrel No. 34.

At cask strength (55% ABV), all three barrels were impressivesurprisingly graceful, even at 110 proof. However, the true test came after adding a few drops of water to simulate bottling proof. Thats when Barrel 34 revealed its magic: inviting aromas of dried fruits, cherries, and banana, followed by a flavor profile layered with cherry, cacao, toasted almonds, and warm baking spices.

Aged for 26 monthswell beyond the familiar 18in medium-toast American oak barrels used exclusively once to mature Jack Daniels, then selected for our tequila. Bottled at 45% ABV, this spirit reveals an elegant complexity shaped by heritage, precision, and time.
